Supported Living Services

Supported Living Services (SLS) are habilitation services provided to adults who require daily staff intervention due to behavior concerns, medical conditions, physical deficits and/or lack of adequate survival skills. Supported Living Services for adults may be provided in Adult Foster Home, the community, a person’s own place of residence, or remotely.

Rural Living Environments offers Supported Living Services for individuals requiring more comprehensive levels of support. Our proven record of success with individuals having significant maladaptive behaviors is the result of our customized, team-based approach and emphasis on positive behavioral supports.

In-Home Family Support

Rural Living Environments provides In-Home Family Support (IHFS) to individuals and their families when they are living at home. The supported individual, the individual’s family and/or guardian, the individual’s Case Manager(s) and RLE all work together to determine what specific supports are necessary, when supports should be provided, and how much total support is needed. The individual’s needs always drive this process.

Services can also be provided remotely using current technology.

Behavioral Intervention Support

Leanne Negley has worked as a Behavior Analyst since 1985 and has vast experience developing positive practice strategies.

RLE can provide behavioral support in the home or community. Services may include

individualized functional assessments
development of a positive behavior support plans
plan implementation, training and oversight of plan
support plan monitoring and revisions.

Out of Home Respite

Our Aspen Adult Foster Care home has one bed dedicated to Out of Home Overnight Respite.

Employment Services

Rural Living Environment currently supports 11 individuals in their jobs that include working at local hotels, convenience, grocery stores as well as for the City of Babbitt. RLE is able to provide employment
exploration and development in addition to 1:1 employment supports.
